High Performance Protective Coatings on Polished Porcelain Floor Tiles

BYC offers a high performance nanocomposite coating solution for filling in the pores and small crevices on non-glazed polished porcelain floor tiles. Once applied, the filler material forms a thin film over the tile surface. The resulting coating is durable, scratch resistant and it can be reliably applied with a Sol-Gel procedure. It greatly facilitates the cleaning of stains caused by different liquid contaminants. BYC’s cost effective Sol-gel based alternative offers the following advantages over its competitors;

· The Sol-gel procedure seamlessly integrates into mass production lines and the products can be directly coated.

· Surface texture and color is unaffected.

When tested with common sources of food stain and several well-known chemical colorants, it was observed that the coated tiles were easily cleanable and no permanent stain remained.
